Field Tests How much fuel could a rove pack in and a pack in rove pack out? LATEST FIELD TEST RESULTS Cold!!! 15°f. Boiled one cup of water in 2 ½ minutes. Able to light stove with one match. 33 minute burn time with air throttle.
Wind breaks serve two purposes. One is to block the wind and the other is to support the pot or pan. I find when hiking I strive to reduce any excess weight. I even carve my own utensils, like fork and spoon rather than pack them in. So it may be no surprise that I don't carry a wind break. I build them on site. There's always plenty of material around and it only takes a couple of minutes. Here are a few pictures of windbreaks I've used (click for larger image) |
